Friends, I hope you are well.
As I mentioned in the last newsletter, the format of Ready for Rain has changed to be more of a round-up of what I’ve published on the blog or found interesting on the web recently. I’ll be tweaking the design over time and would love to know what is working (or not) for you.
Below you’ll find posts about the house project, the Big Enough book, and one of my favorite products.

I wrote this post to summarize our company and our role in it. If you’re curious about what we do, this is a good starting point.
✍️ Indy Publishing and the Discourse Blog
A group of bloggers decide to start asking fans to pay for access to blog posts. This story is a great example of one of the big themes in Big Enough: independent publishing.

🏡 The Search for Smart House Siding
The exterior of our house is going to be black and look like charred wood, because it will be. This is the story of why we chose this option.
🔥 Solo Stove for Backyard Fires
A quick review of one of my favorite products for this time of year.
Other Bits
🛹 I am so impressed by 11 year old skater Sky Brown. She is well beyond her years.
⚔️ A nice explanation of why blacksmiths have to heat and hammer metal to make swords.
🤪 This “wheelies Parkour” dude made me LOL.
That’s what I have for now. I’d love to know what you think about the new version of the newsletter. Cheers!
